4 Teeth

Hayes is going to turn 8 months next Wednesday! I can't believe he is growing up so fast. He is still not crawling, but he is giving it a good hard effort. In a few weeks he will be on the go....and then so will Chris & I...LOL! He has 4 teeth coming in all at once and has been doing really well with them. He has three on the bottom and one on the top. We can't imagine him with all these teeth. Seems he went from a toothless grin to 4 teeth over night. I will try to get a picture of that. Today we met Beth and Rylee for lunch and the kids loved each other. They are 11 days apart. The were holding hands and pulling on eachothers clothes. So funny.

Play Date with Baby Ryder

Have not had a chance to write in a while, sorry. Hayes and I went to play with Baby Ryder. For those of you that don't know. Ryder is the son of one of my childhood friends, Jessie. Here are a few pics.

Hayes Meets Santa Claus....

Chris and I took Hayes to go see Santa Claus! We wanted to beat the rush and did not have to wait in line at all. That was nice! Hayes did not know what to think of Santa. He stared at him with a weird look on his face. This Santa was the sweetest thing ever and he started singing, "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" to Hayes and they were fast friends. This Santa is at North Point Mall. He sees 125,000 kids a year, which Chris and I figured is great money, even if he only makes $5-$10 a kid. Sweet deal! So Chris is growing out his hair and beard and bleaching it and you can find him in a mall near you next year. Just kidding!!!!! So here is a picture of Hayes with his new friend. We tried to get him to smile, but there was too much going on. Hayes colored this little picture for daddy.

Inch Worm

Well today Hayes learned to do the inch worm. He is going to get rug burn on his face, but he is one step closer to crawling. I put him down on the floor on a blanket and walked away to start the washing machine. I came right back two seconds later and he had turned a complete 180 degrees. Then all of a sudden he would put his face flat on the ground and push his bottom up with his feet and push himself forward like an inch worm. He was not happy though, he basically cried the whole time but kept doing it. Then after a while he actually pulled his knees up under himself.....he is going to be on the move soon. Watch out!!!!

Our Little Walrus Is Growing Tusks

Hayes' getting his first teeth. They are hard to see because they are just barely cutting through. In the pic, you can barely make out a little white tip on the right side. I felt them yesterday and they are definitely there. Not sure how long it takes for them to pop out totally. He does not let me look very well. Every time I try, he sticks out his tongue, He loves for me to rub his gums and he bites me. So cute. Can't believe that he is getting so big. Will be 7 months on Monday, Nov 23rd. (5 days)

Big Chair for a Big Man!

Hayes moved up to his big boy car seat today. He loves it, he sits up higher and can see out the window. We are about to take a BIG trip to Louisiana for Thanksgiving, so we thought he would be more comfortable for 20 hours in the car.

Pheonix

This is Hayes' new friend, Pheonix. He loves to watch the fish swim around.

What a Day!

Today has been quite a day. By 11am, I had already showed up late to take Hayes to a story time at the library with his friends Briley and Braxton. We showed up right as they were closing the last book. Oh well. Then we proceeded to go to Chic-fil-a and have our lunch. Well, Hayes wanted his lunch right away and could not wait until we got there (meltdown), so mommy proceeded to feed him in the car. Well, Chris will laugh at this because he thinks that I never put the top on anything after I use it, and if I do put it on, its not screwed on all the way or is screwed on crooked. I plead the fifth!!!! Anyways, I noticed that the bottle bag had flipped over while I was driving and I had forgotten to put the fancy bottle tops on with the disc to keep them from spilling and what do you know??????????????????? The formula spilled all over me, the car...............everywhere. I grabbed the other bottle and the same thing. I was so mad. Needless to say, even if the day started off a little rocky, we still had fun. Here are some pics from lunch after we pulled ourselves together.

Gymboree for Katelyn Ford's Bday 11.15.09

Today we had a blast at Katelyn's bday party at Gymboree. This was Hayes' first time to a birthday party and to Gymboree. His favorite part was the saucer. I put him in it and pulled him all over the gym. He just chilled and laughed. It was great. He also really liked the fun activities like playing on the mats with the other babies and singing to songs.

Meeting Mia 11/11/09

Hayes and I went to the mall yesterday to meet his new friend Mia. She is so tiny and so precious. 8 wks and 8lbs. I thought Hayes was small, but next to her, he's a giant. We had a great time. Missy (Mia's mom) and I had lunch and strolled around the mall with the kids. Good times!!!
