My First Words and Walking!

Hayes has started walking in the last two weeks and now he never crawls anymore. He is into EVERYTHING....and I mean EVERYTHING! He is so proud of himself and walks around with this huge smile on his face. He mostly opens all drawers and cabinets to see whats inside and then he pulls everything out and throws it all over the floor, especially in the bathrooms. His other favorite is taking the folded clothes out of the hamper as I fold them.

He is also talking a lot. These are his first words: Da-Da, Ma-Ma, Baby, Hey, Hi, Mmmm, Oh, Mimmie, dog, and his favorite is Ball "Baba" He is in LOVE with balls right now and says that words over and over all day. He carries a ball around too. From the smallest ball to ones that are as big as him....he LOVES balls.

Hayes' First Birhtday Party!

We celebrated Hayes' first birthday in April (25th). We invited all of our good friends and their kids. It was a wonderful time and we wanted to thank each of you that came to help us celebrate. Hayes' Nana was in town for the week too. We served pizza, pb&j sandwiches, chips, cookies, cake and ice cream. We had to have a special smash cake made for Hayes since he cannot have milk. He ate a little of the cake, but had more fun smashing it all to pieces. Oh well, thats why its called a smash cake, right? We had the party at our neighborhood clubhouse and that worked out really well as we could not have fit everyone comfortably in our house. We brought a bunch of Hayes' toys up there and had a ball pit and bounce house. There was also a play ground up there and that was nice too. Here are some pics from the big day. Happy 1st Birthday Hayes! We love you.

Monkey See, Monkey Do! We have one Monkey now, but in December, "WE WILL HAVE TWO"

Baby Airhart #2:
We are excited to announce that we are having another little MONKEY in December. Due on Pearl Harbor Day (Dec 7). I am almost 10 weeks prego now and I have been feeling great. Have had the occasional nausea and been pretty tired at times, but overall....I feel blessed! Hayes is excited to be a BIG BROTHER! Well, I say that he is anyways. He will be 20 months old when this little one gets here. I think that the shock is starting to hit me..LOL! Wonder what it will be????? Boy or Girl? I have a strong feeling it will be a boy again. I am going to be happy either way, but I secretly think that it would be sooooo cute to see Chris with a girl. He is such a great daddy to Hayes, I just know that a little girl would melt his heart...and mine.

Names:
We have names picked out already. We kind of knew them all along! We are not the type to keep that sort of thing a secret. Probably will find out what we are having in July sometime.

Boy: Carter Hughes Airhart
Girl: Katherine Harrington Airhart and call her "KATE"
(that was what Hayes' name would have been too if he would have been a girl)

The way that I told Chris we were pregnant"
When he got home from work, I had Hayes in a t-shirt that said, "BIG BRO"
It took him a while to notice, but when he did, his eyes got really big and he had a huge smile on his face and just scooped me and Hayes up for a giant hug and kiss. I love that my husband loves kids. It makes it so much fun.

Monkey is Mobile!

My apologies: I am way behind on blogging. I wanted to write an entry to note a few things.

Hayes is almost walking. Sometimes he will walk across the room when you are not looking and catch you totally off guard. It should be any day now. He just does not have the confidence yet that he can do it. He is all over the place though and cruising around on everything. His favorite thing to do is go up and down the stairs (with our help of course). Have to watch him like a hawk though bc every chance he gets, he is off trying to get to those stairs. Gotta get the baby gates this week.

Dates:
Hayes' First Steps (To Mimmie)- March 28, 2010
Hayes' First Steps (To Mommy)- March 31, 2010

Much more to come!
