Trick or Treat and Stranger Love!

Hayes loved trick or treating this year. He walked up to the door himself with the big kids and mommy and daddy's help. He was a puppy dog and the cutest puppy dog I have ever seen. Hayes loves dogs, especially Louie, so that is why we picked this costume. He didn't really understand why we kept going door to door until this lady let him pick his candy out and he realized that he was getting candy and went right for the dum-dum lollipop. My boy loves him some sugar. Apple did not fall far from the tree. We went to one house though that had this scary man sitting on his porch and he was wearing a mask. Hayes took one good look at him and croze in his tracks. It was literally like a dog that refused to walk on his leash. He stood there for a second and then started crying because he was scared. Chris had to swoop him up and needless to say, we did not get candy there. The man did not even take his mask off to try and calm Hayes down. He just sat there in character. Whatever!

So this blog enty would not be complete if I did not tell you about Hayes' stranger love crush. He even asked a man trick or treating that he didnt know that opened his door to hold him. For those of you that do not know...Hayes loves strangers. He loves all people, but the stranger thing is getting weird. It does not matter where we are or who it is, but he wants other people we meet or talk to to hold him. It all started with the man that came to give us a quote to fix our roof, then it was the conductor at the mall after we rode the train, then a guy that came to paint our house and then our waiter at Zola's. We meet ladies in line at the grocery store and he just reached out his little arms and says "Out" to them, which means...pick me up. Some people are friendly and hold him for a bit and talk to him and he loves it. Other people are like, "What in the world". I on the other hand feel like I have to explain that he is just an outgoing kid and he loves all people. I only have to do that when they put him down and he cries for them. Boy oh Boy...we need to learn stranger danger. The other place that he is really funny about this is at the doctors office. He wants all the nurses to hold him and they carry him around the office and then when it comes time for the doctor to examine him, she has to do it in her lap. LOL! What are we gonna do with this little outgoing dude?

Hayes is "in love" with Mickey Mouse these days, so daddy carved him a special pumpkin. Hayes calls him "Mouse" and watches him every morning. He will come running from the other side of the house when he hear the "Hot Dog Dance" and dances his little heart out clapping and cheering. Priceless!

Glaze's Halloween Party

Our good friends The Glaze's decided to throw Braxton a Halloween Party this year! It was Hayes' first one and he had a blast. He played hard and with all the bigger kids too. He spent most of his time in the bounce-house and when he got knocked over, he just got right back up and at it again. Jess had all kinds of deserts and it was decorated so awesome. Complete with an orange and black donut hole tree that Chris proceeded to eat the top of....ooooppssss! Well, we stopped him right before he did and told him that the centerpiece was only for looks. LOL! Jess even made some special milk-free deserts that Hayes could have. So sweet of her.

Kate's Maternity Pictures (Due December 7, 2010)

So one of my biggest regrets was not getting maternity pictures done when I was pregnant with Hayes, so I thought I could not pass it up this time. Also a chance to capture Hayes when he is about to be a BIG brother. He has no idea what that means.....but any day now...he's about to find out. We are so excited to meet our precious baby girl.
