So last Thursday while Chris and I were at a Tears for Fears concert with friends at Chastain, there was a pretty terrible storm that rolled through our neighborhood. We returned home and noticed that our power had gone out, but that was no big deal. The next morning when Chris went to go get Louie from the backyard, he noticed pieces of wood and shingles all in the grass. He looked up and saw that there was damage to our newly painted house and roof. There were not any branches or anything around that could have done the damage, so we chalked it up to lightening. This was later confirmed by our cable company. We had no cable or internet and apparently when they came to check it out, the box, modem and outside line had been completely zapped. We are VERY thankful to God that our house is indeed still standing without a fire and that we are all ok and nobody was harmed. Here are some pics of the damage.
